"Hallo-Sweet Treat"

All of you know that costume day is finally near,
October 31st comes, but only one time a year!

So to prepare for the ride, for where we will meet,
I have written this poem, called “Hallo-sweet Treat!”

And yet you might ask, “What heck can that be?”
So I bestow the secret to you, from little old me.

Of course it could be chocolate and candy galore,
It could be caramel apples, given out from your door!

But for me it is oh so much more than just that,
You see candy isn’t the only thing can make us get fat!

It’s baked potato soup and seafood chowder served hot,
Egg sandmiches, sausages and all the snacks that we’ve got!

It’s the World’s 2nd Best Wings crica 1994, I say,
Although some might not say that, the very next day!!

It’s the cider served hot and the beer that’s served cold,
Our tailgate has certainly broken everyone’s mold!

It’s been far too long since we tailgated together,
So head to Happy Valley we’re going to have some great weather!

My point is that we all, have something special to share,
Whether it’s food, snacks or alcohol, the point is we care!

And if our team comes to fight, and the Buckeyes we BEAT,
Well, that quite possibly could be, the BEST HALLO-SWEET TREAT!
